Are there things you want to do but your fears keep stopping you? If it isn't fear, perhaps you feel like you've got neither time nor energy to go after those things.
Do you often find yourself wondering if there is anything at all that could push you and give you enough strength and courage to pursue your dreams?
The great news is that no matter what it is you want in life, you can go after them — you just have to unleash your inner warrior!
Develop your physical strength – You won't know how strong you are physically unless you put your body to the test. And by doing so, it will help you see your inner strength.
Love aerobics? Then go dance, run, jog, bike, swim — and do so with a vengeance. Of course, you have to have a green light from your doctor before you do anything of these things.
Want to improve your flexibility and balance? Yoga is an excellent choice. If you feel that you're strong physically, you'll be in a much better frame of mind to pursue your dreams. Start viewing yourself as a warrior-in-training.
Believe in yourself – Throw out the word "don't" and "can't". Erase them from your vocabulary. You can do anything if you put your heart, mind, and soul in it.
Believe in yourself. Believe that you have it in you to achieve your dreams.
Keep your eyes on your dreams – You've got your job and your family to take care of. Although you need to live your life in the present, you also need to keep your eyes on your dreams.
Constantly remind yourself of your goals. Put reminders in your briefcase, in your bedroom, on your desk, in your car…you get the picture. It'll help if you create your own vision boards. Put words and images that pertain to your dreams. Hang the board where you're likely to see it every day.
Don't let anyone's opinions stop you – You may be nearing your 40s but it's your desire to get a college degree. If it's what you want, then sign up for night classes.
If you hear people tell you that you're way too old to go back to college or that you don't need to do that because you've already got a job, tune them out. Don't let their views keep you from doing what you think is best for you.
Learn – Is it your dream to move to California and do some surfing on the weekends? You'll want to read up all you can about the California coastline. Find out which towns and cities are along the oceans.
And of course, learn which places are best for surfing. When you know exactly what it is you want, the more you'll be able to do something to get closer to your dream.
Work on your dreams step by step – For instance, if one of your goals is to visit all 50 US states, you'll want to start creating a budget. Aim low — 2 states a year, one that's nearby and another that's a little farther away.
Next, you'll want to identify those 2 states you want to go to this year and learn all you can about them. When you do things that are related to your dreams, no matter how small or minor those things are, you're taking yourself one step closer. Remember, a true warrior knows how to plan ahead.
Share your dreams – Don't be shy to let your family and close friends know your goals and dreams. They're the ones who will truly be happy that you're pursuing what you want in life. And what do you know, they may just be inspired to chase after their own dreams.
Give yourself some love! – Here's an incredibly simple concept but one that a lot of people fail to do. Loving yourself means you understand that it's worth pursuing the dreams that will make your life fulfilled.
You've got all the right in the world to pursue your dreams. Follow the simple steps we've laid out for you so you can unleash your inner warrior. Once your inner warrior's out, there's nothing in the world that can stop you from making your dreams a reality.
